I know what you're thinking!

Come on admit it. You think you could write an opinion on sports!

You've got something to say! You're not just a butt in the bleachers!

You have thought of something that needs said and it takes more than a text message to say it.

Well now's your big chance. Maybe you'll be the next color commentator on ESPN. Maybe SI will want you to do their Fantasy sports picks. Or maybe they'll just want you for the Swimsuit Issue. If you think you'd like a shot at writing about sports, covering anything from High School to the Pros, send me an email with a sample of at least three hundred words and we'll see if you have what it takes.

Here are a couple of things to keep in mind. Puff pieces are nice but they rarely bring much in the way of comments. Pick a subject, be aggressive a little edgy, on the edge of obnoxious and you'll bring people out of the woodwork.
