If you’re doing some NFL betting online, you’ll see that Week 10 starts on Thursday, which means things are about to heat up in the league as this is the last of the bye weeks. Here is a look at five Week 10 NFL betting matchups and a few tips that may sway your sports bet.
Ravens Falcons Betting – Thursday, 8:20 PM ET
The Ravens are 1-point underdogs on the road, which is fair as Atlanta is 4-0 at home this season, but in their history in Baltimore and Cleveland, the Ravens are 2-2 SU and 4-0 ATS in Atlanta. The Ravens are also 2-0-1 as an underdog this season, and they may be one of the most dangerous underdogs in the league. Atlanta, on the other hand, is 3-3 as an ATS favorite.
Vikings Bears Betting – Sunday, 1:00 PM ET
In this NFC North clash, the Bears are a 1-point underdog at home, even though their 4-1 both SU and ATS in their last five games at Soldier Field against the Vikings. Brett Favre has a passer rating of 87.7 in 30 games against Chicago in his career, but he’s going to have to step it up if he wants the Vikings to pull out the football betting win in this contest as his Vikings are 1-3 ATS on the road this year.
Bengals Colts Betting – Sunday, 1:00 PM ET
The Bengals are 8-point underdogs in Indianapolis for a couple of reasons: one, they’re on a short week, they lost an emotionally draining game on Monday night at home against a division rival (Pittsburgh), and they’ve been awful in Indy, going 0-5 SU and 1-4 ATS in their last five trips. The Colts are 3-0 ATS at home this season, while Cincinnati is 1-3 ATS away, and 1-4 ATS as an underdog.
Patriots Steelers Betting – Sunday, 8:20 PM ET
The Patriots are 4-point underdogs, but those making NFL picks shouldn’t be scared off by last week’s effort against Cleveland as they were likely looking ahead to the Steelers. The Patriots are 4-1 both SU and ATS in their last five trips to Pittsburgh, and two of those wins have come in the playoffs. The Patriots won their only game in which they were an underdog, while the Steelers are on a short week, so beware.
Eagles Redskins Betting – Monday, 8:30 PM ET
In this NFC East showdown, the Eagles are 3-point favorites on the road, and they’re 3-2 SU in their last five trips to Washington, along with 2-3 ATS. The irony in this is that the Eagle were led by Washington quarterback Donovan McNabb for those games, and he has some insight into the Eagles’ schemes, which came in handy in a Week 4 win. Washington is 3-0-1 ATS at home this year, and they’re also 5-1-1 as an ATS underdog, so they could be worth a sports bet.
