Knicks storm back, beat Cavs 120-103 behind bench (Yahoo! Sports)

Jeremy Lin checked back in, triggering the wave of cheers that accompany his every move at Madison Square Garden. This time, they were for the guys leaving the game. Lin had 19 points and 13 assists and Carmelo Anthony scored 22, but the New York Knicks turned around this one with their reserves to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-103 on Wednesday night.

Chargers guard Dielman to retire (Yahoo! Sports)

San Diego Chargers guard Kris Dielman will announce his retirement Thursday because of a series of concussions. A nine-year NFL veteran, Dielman suffered a concussion in a loss to the New York Jets, returned to the game, then had a seizure on the flight back to San Diego. He didn’t play again in 2011.

On a night when Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were missing more shots than usual, the All-Star duo did the little things to win. Durant scored eight of his 23 points down the stretch and Westbrook had 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 92-88 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.

Letang was down on the ice for several minutes midway through the period after he was hit in the head area on a hard check along the end boards by Dallas’ Eric Nystrom.

Utah Jazz power forward Paul Millsap is sitting out Wednesday night’s game against the Houston Rockets with a bruised left heel. Second-year pro Derrick Favors is starts in his place. Millsap ranks second on the Jazz in scoring with a 15.7-point average, and is second in rebounding (9.1). He missed only six games last season due to injury.
